NEWS
Around this time of the year, we are always reminded of John Lennon. One of our favorite songs by John and Yoko, “Happy Christmas,” was paying on the FM radio the other day. This year will be over in just over 3 weeks. Here is the latest news from Taiko & Associates.
Our website has been renewed as follows.

The major point for this renewal this time is that it has become easier to view all the works by our illustrators. New faces have also joined us, and we would like to introduce these new illustrators.
Alli Alnord
The reason why she has worked for high-end dept. stores in NYC as well as high-end brands is that her illustrarions bring people smiles. She herself says she would like to give a viewer a smile. Such sense of humor of hers give warm feelings to all of us in Japan.

Asako Masunouchi
Now living in Greece, Asako is active mainly in Europe.
One of the characteristics of her artwork is tolerant spacing. Also now being involved in 3D or animations, her 3D touch reflects on her gentle works with color pencils. Besides her pencil works, digital ones are also popular in Europe.

Natsuki Camino
Natsuki’s works represent collage works by tearing color-painted papers and paste them. Especially her works of buildings are well accepted. She expresses, in a minimal way, buildings and people who are attracted to go inside because of beautiful forms. She says she draws such elements by imagining hard or cold concrete or iron as well as the feeling of buildings.

Another popular pattern of her work is the process of re-construtcing buildings by simplifying objects, like symbols. She says even if something is a very ordinary thing around you, when made into collective forms, instead of singular form, they create beauty of sequence and mutual relationships, which is very attractive.
Izumi Kawai
Izumi creates fine drawings with pencil and add colors. While some are so realistic and surreal, others show the world of rough gestures, which makes her world of objects wider.
Solo exhibition of Izumi Kawai entitled, “Evening time at a restaurant” is currently held.

She will be present at the gallery from 13:00 on Dec. 5・6・8・9・15・16.

Nao Sakamoto
Nao’s world of expression is wide, with modern and cool streets, relaxing nature, heart-warming interior goods in everyday life with casual humor, and cute animals. Her line-drawing world is full of colors. Her solid line-drawing works can be attractive even on a big medium such as a mural. Her graphic works in which vivid colors give rhythms on lines are appreciated worldwide.
